But how to make rice? (bhaata)

Postby No.1 » Oct 18th, '06, 13:51

Hi Shanti,

May be I'll try some day the Dalma recipe. But how to cook rice? (I dont think it's a silly question!)

I stay in Hyderabad and have to take food outside everyday. So after seeing the recipe section, we( my room mate and I) have decided to try our hands in cooking food at home.

Dalma from mooga dali or harada dali?

Postby Deep » Nov 1st, '06, 18:12

I have a doubt! Dalma is made of Moong Dal (mooga dali) or Arhar dal (harada dali)? or it doesn't matter?

Bibek Mishra, can you tell what was that the day I had lunch at your place in Bangalore?

No. both can be used

Postby akash » Nov 2nd, '06, 12:18

In making dalma both the dal can be used means separately.

U can cook harad dal dalma

And also moong dal dalma.

But generally Harad dal is preferred as it is tasty and healthy where as moong dal may create some digestion prob if anybody is not habituated with it.
