Heavy rainfall in Odisha due to low pressure area formed over north-west Bay of Bengal.
A low pressure area formed over north-west Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast, it triggered heavy rainfall during the last two days. Normal life is out of gear in the state leaving many roads and streets in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Koraput etc submerged. The Meteorological Department said heavy to very heavy rain will lash most parts of coastal and north Odisha in the next 24 hours. The fishermen have been asked not to venture into sea.
